Cold remedies
Duh.
My head is full of cold. I’ve got a sore throat. Am feeling very sorry for myself.
There is only one thing that can save me.
I stumble through to the larder in my dressing gown and socks (it’s not pretty) and the horror of the situation slowly dawns upon me – I don’t have a tin of Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup, that age old remedy for all known illnesses.
How did this happen? I always have a tin of tomato soup for emergency situations like this.
I’ll have to resort to runny eggs with buttered toast fingers instead – not quite as efficacious, but a reasonable substitute as a cold remedy.
In an emergency.

You don’t reach for CHICKEN BROTH? When you do have your next bowl of cream-of-tomato soup, you need to chase it with a toasted cheese sandwich. Love to see pics of you in the robe and socks
Tom, it’s not pretty, seriously – so I’m sorry, but the blogosphere can certainly do without that to grace it’s portals!
Hope you feel better soon. When I have a cold it’s Heniz vegetable soup, don’t know why – I find it comforting.
It’s probably childhood memories, Maria. My mum used to feed me tomato soup and lucozade, which I thought was some magic elixir, when I was ill
Si is with you there. Heinz tomato, nothing else cuts it
